Lesley Ma is a multi-talented artist, photographer, painter and director based in New York City. Prior to earning her master's degree in photography from SVA(School of Visual Arts) in NYC, she worked as a fashion editor before.

She has been creating art since the age of four, and eventually transitioned from painting to photography. She also has a fashion background from university, and enjoys incorporating fashion elements into her artistic creations. Her works are heavily influenced by her Asian roots, as well as Minimalism, Wabi-sabi, Dadaism, Feminism, and Youth Culture. As she continues to evolve as an artist, her ongoing project is a fervent call to action for a diversified aesthetic that celebrates women of all ages, races, and body types.

Due to her extensive background in the fashion industry, her work seamlessly blends fine art and fashion. Her photography is not limited to analog, digital, alternative processes, AI image generation, or digital post-processing. She refuses to set boundaries for herself and instead seeks to use any imaging technology to tell her stories. Her recent work primarily focuses on 120 film, exploring nature and femininity with a humanistic approach to convey her message. Her works aim to capture the unique and beautiful presence of women in the world, exploring their roles in society and culture, and encouraging the audience to re-examine and cherish the value and rights of women.

Her editorial photos have been featured in prestigious publications such as VOGUE, FLANELLE, MODERN WEEKLY STYLE, Sicky magazine, and others.
